Мілітарна символіка в сучасній українській поезії

Abstract

Кваліфікаційна робота присвячена дослідженню української мілітарної символіки у сучасній українській поезії, що формується під впливом війни. У роботі проаналізовано різноманітні поетичні твори, які відображають досвід бойових дій, психологічні стани військових і цивільних людей, а також сучасні символи війни: дрон, шеврон, тривога, бронежилет, укриття. Визначено їх семантику, функції та роль у формуванні національної пам’яті. Дослідження показує, що сучасна воєнна поезія поєднує документальність і метафоричність, відтворюючи індивідуальний та колективний досвід боротьби, стійкості й опору.

This thesis is devoted to a comprehensive study of military symbolism in contemporary Ukrainian poetry, which is being shaped by full-scale war and the prolonged military experience of Ukrainian society. The focus is on the analysis of poetic texts that reflect the transformations of consciousness, emotional states, and personal and collective experiences of people who have encountered the realities of war. The work examines the works of both military poets and civilian authors whose writing has been a reaction to the daily experience of struggle, loss, and hope. Particular attention is paid to the latest military symbols that have entered contemporary poetic discourse: drones, chevrons, bulletproof vests, alarms, shelters, positions, and call signs. Their semantics, emotional and worldview functions, as well as their role in shaping cultural memory and national identity are identified. It is shown that these symbols not only convey the real elements of war, but also acquire metaphorical meaning, becoming signs of resilience, indestructibility, responsibility, and sacrifice. The genre and stylistic features of contemporary military poetry are analyzed: a combination of documentary and artistic elements, conciseness of expression, dominance of emotional intensity, use of free verse, metaphorical structures, and personification. The work proves that contemporary Ukrainian poetry performs an important sociocultural function – it records historical experience, transmits moral values, and shapes the space of collective memory. Military symbols are key elements of this process, as they create a coherent imagery system that reflects both personal and national experiences of struggle.
