Книга присвячена важливому аспекту історії України та Центрально-Східної Європи часів Дру гої світової війни і нацистської окупації — співучасті місцевого християнського населення у
переслідуванні, пограбуванні й убивствах їхніх єврейських сусідів у лавах допоміжної поліції, самоврядування, поліції безпеки та СД на території українсько-російсько-білоруського пограниччя. The book is devoted to an important aspect of the history of Ukraine and Central and Eastern Europe during the Second World War and the Nazi occupation: the complicity of the local Christian population in in the persecution, robbery, and murder of their Jewish neighbours in the ranks of the auxiliary police, self-government, security police, and SD on the territory of the Ukrainian-Russian-Belarusian border. Based on the study of a wide range of sources, the author highlights the motivations that could have guided the collaborators in Shoah motivations that could have guided collaborators in the Shoah (Holocaust). The monograph analyses the political instrumentalisation of the Shoah events by various groups after 1945 - including the Putin regime during the during its hybrid (since 2014) and full-scale (since 2022) war against Ukraine. Studying the materials of oral history materials, the author explored how the local Christian population recalls the events of the Shoah after many decades later, in the absence of Jewish neighbours. The publication is recommended for a wide range of readers: scholars, teachers, students, politicians, and public figures.
